The programme is designed for managers-leaders of all levels who want to increase their self-awareness andinterpersonal effectiveness in multicultural environments. It builds an appreciation of how to make appropriate use of personal power in the everyday international business environment. There are quite a few situations in every global or international company when traditional top-down authority to force compliance is unavailable or just not wise to apply. This program aims to help managers to be more effective in those situations and, without a doubt, it should be a must course for managers working in matrix or project-based organisations where power of interpersonal influence becomes almost the only force for achieving strong results.

- Phase 1 starts on 1 September 2012 leading to Phase 2 Three Day Workshop on 10 to 12 October, 2012 which will be located in Brussels, Belgium.

This program is about how to influence people, especially in an international business context. Become more effective in influencing and persuading through developing a deeper awareness of own influencing style and preferences. Learn techniques for being more effective in communicating in a way that persuades others.

Phase 2
- Attend the two day workshop to build understanding of techniques, develop skills and further develop the strategy to apply to own case.

Program Dates
- Intake two - Phase 1 starts on 1 September 2012 leading to Phase 2 Two Day Workshop on 8 & 9 November, located in Mechelen, Belgium, and to completion of Phase 3 by end December 2012.
Program Fee
The fee for participating in this program is Euro 1,800. The fee includes instruments, refreshments and lunch during the two day workshop, attendance at group dinner on the evening of day one of the two day workshop and support materials for the workshop. Participants are responsible for their own travel andaccommodation.

- Two telephone coaching meetings in the following 3 months or on a different schedule if agreed with the PPI Network Coach
Each participant will receive a copy of the book “Make Your Mark” by Sue Craig an important source of insights and tools on influencing and cross organisational influencing.

Virtual Team Working - Building an Effective Team

Delivering quality results through leading or working in virtual or remote teams with colleagues, customers or suppliers. You will learn about building an effective team and effective team communication.
Benefits
Each participant will:
- Develop your understanding and skill in remote team working through a real experience in a new remote team with the opportunity to have open conversations about the experience.
- Have a key tool for enabling diagnosing and addressing issues preventing the remote team from performing fully.
- Complete an analysis of the effectiveness of the remote team which you currently lead or participate in and develop an action plan for making it more effective.
- Have a tool box for increasing the effectiveness of remote teams.
Program Process
Phase 1
- A web seminar to introduce the learning experience and provide the context for the program.
- View the program video on the PPI Network Website as a first step in increasing awareness and learning – ORPI. Apply the ORPI analysis to their own team.
- Participate in two sub group remote team working tasks with a de-brief with a coach after completion of the first task. De-brief of the second task outcome will be in the Phase 2 workshop.
- Identify and document personal learning objectives for the programs and a personal application case.
Phase 2
- Attend the two day workshop to build understanding of techniques, develop skills and further develop the strategy to apply to own case.
- Review the lessons from the phase 1 team working and the application of the ORPI instrument to own team.
Phase 3
- Execute own case with support from sub group.
- A webinar to present application successes and conclude the learning experience.
