Julian Jencquel is a facilitator and executive coach certified at HEC business school in Paris, as well as a conflict mediator trained at Tenos Academy in Hamburg. Julian designs and delivers training programs covering topics that include leadership and management skills; communication and interpersonal effectiveness; implementing conflict management systems; fostering a culture of trust in teams and organizations. Julian is accustomed to working with operational teams, mid-level managers, and C-line executives in international organizations.
After 15 years working in the small leather goods and stationery industries in Caracas, Madrid, London, and Paris, Julian created a consultancy firm in 2010. He is a faculty member at Engie University, where he intervenes in some of the leadership programs (Interpersonal Effectiveness, the ABC of B2C, Biogas Booster), as well academic coordinator at the HEC Global Executive Coaching program. Some of his clients include Société Générale, BNP, BRED Banque Populaire, Otis, Sodexo, the OECD, and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Julian has extensive experience in coaching managers and top executives, and is used to handling conflict issues within teams, among associates, between clients and suppliers, and in relation with work contracts. Julian is a member of EMCC (European Coaching and Mentoring Council).
Julian’s approach to training is highly experiential and practical. It is based on a conviction that true learning results from a mix of autonomy, motivation, and relentless repetition. In 2013 he published Emotional Intelligence in Leadership, Bookboon, London.
Julian works in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian and has a basic conversational level in Dutch and Portuguese.
