Developing Self Awareness
Self-awareness can be developed on an individual basis for key contributors and leaders and/or on a wider group basis for your full management or leadership team.
Coaching. For individual leaders having the opportunity to work with an expert coach whose questions help them achieve deeper levels of self-knowledge. The expert discussion of some probing questions can often provide them with a clearer perception of both their strength and the areas in which they could develop to make a significant difference and impact on the business. It can also be a very big help in bringing to their awareness blind spots or areas they had not thought about previously.
Objective feedback. Using psychometric instruments can also be valuable in helping the individual develop a deeper understanding of him or herself and the impact they may have on others. For example the Harrison Paradox Technology can be very useful in helping a leader understand his/her potential leadership derailers and how to manage them. We select the appropriate instrument, from a range of psychometric instruments, which produces the insights that will provide most value to the individual(s) in developing their awareness.
360°or multi rater feedback. Using some form of 360° feedback can also be very valuable for the individual as he or she receives feedback that otherwise they may not get. While we have to be careful in interpreting 360° feedback, as it is a compilation of perceptions, it does provide additional valuable data for the person to consider.
