Do your leaders understand the full implications and expectations of their senior leadership role? Are they fully conversant with the different demands they should be meeting? Are they delivering on all the areas they need to or do they have blind spots on some key issues?

Leaders need to understand that there are many dimensions to leading a competitive business. A very useful framework for explaining the variety of areas a leader should address is based on the work John Nichols, a leading business thinker base in the UK. He articulated a model highlighting the various dimensions of the leader’s role. We have reinterpreted the model to provide a fuller understanding.

Understanding the leadership role is best grasped through this video. In it, one of our colleagues Patrick Lybaert, explains the model we use to help leaders be clear about their role and also self analyse to identify if they are missing some key aspects in how they approach executing the role in practice.
